While more and more cases of swine flu are now starting to show up in Florida, the decision to close down three schools in Hillsborough County is coming under question. Students are being banned from participating in crucial end of the year activities that can have devastating effects on college scholarships. Parents, as well as students, are questioning the decision made to shut down the schools.

In Pinellas County – Clearwater/St. Petersburg area – one case of the swine flu has been confirmed, that of a 24-year old man who recently returned home from a visit to Mexico. No other cases are confirmed at this time.
